Wendt Partners, a global HubSpot Elite Solutions Partner, today announced that Bernice B. Kapinga, Technology, Security, Contracts & Compliance Manager, will speak at the For Women in Law Legal Careers Workshop in Johannesburg, South Africa, on August 29, 2026.
Kapinga’s participation follows a series of significant professional and organizational milestones spanning legal operations, cybersecurity, governance and compliance.
Earlier this year, Kapinga was promoted to Technology, Security, Contracts & Compliance Manager at Wendt Partners, expanding her responsibilities across contract lifecycle management, information security, governance, risk, compliance and technology oversight.
Most recently, she played a key role in Wendt Partners successfully completing its third consecutive year of ISO/IEC 27001 certification, reinforcing the company’s continued commitment to information security, operational governance and responsible technology practices.
Kapinga’s work at Wendt Partners also includes involvement in the company’s SOC 2 program, contract review and negotiation, policy and control development, vendor risk management, audit readiness, access governance, and emerging legal technology initiatives.
Alongside these responsibilities, Kapinga recently published a new thought-leadership article, “The Question Nobody in the Room Was Asking,” examining the growing intersection of law, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, contracts, and compliance.
The article explores the risks organizations face when technology adoption moves faster than legal and governance frameworks, and argues that information security and legal compliance can no longer be treated as separate business functions.
On August 29, Kapinga will bring that perspective to the For Women in Law Legal Careers Workshop, where she will speak about alternative career paths for legal professionals and the growing opportunities available across legal technology, legal operations, cybersecurity, governance, data protection, compliance and AI.
